Text Box: I have recently come upon a mushroom—yes a mushroom– that I believe can change the lives of some of our clients at PILATES albuquerque. It is called AGARICUS BLAZEI MURRILL. Now I am not one to be easily amazed by something like this but have recently had the chance to hear some testimonials and speak with a medical doctor on what is happening in the lives of people that are taking this strange concoction that is being distributed from a large company in Japan. The mushroom was discovered in a mountain region close to Sao Palo Brazil. It sparked the interested of some researchers that the people of this particular region had a lower incidence of sickness and disease. After looking into the details of this amazing mushroom they found that when grown in a certain altitude and at a certain place on the equator the mushroom is most potent in use for building the immune system. It has been grown in other places but without the potency as the afore mentioned conditions. Scientists have also found through extensive research that there has been no known toxicity to the use of Agaricus. Meaning it is a natural source of helping the body to heal any known side effects to the human systems. In the past few weeks I have poured through published studies (some very boring I might add!) of Agaricus. It appears to be not well recognized yet in the United States but is being widely used as an alternative treatment for disease as well as a preventative supplement in places in the east like Japan and China. I continue to be amazed at what I am reading and the ways that it is being used. The mushroom is grown, extracted and dried and ingested as a broth type liquid that tastes like mushroom soup.
