Text Box: NOTES FROM INSIDE THE STUDIO

BACK TO THE BASICS!
Julie will be promoting more basic work in two Pilates Reformer classes. The format for October and November will be a bit different in that we will explore more of the ORGANIC LOCOMOTION of how the Pilates Reformer work is put together for feeling more ease and comfort in future work in the studio. Julie will use an eclectic fusion of movement methods to educate and inspire the Pilates enthusiast to approach the work a bit differently. This class is a great option for those clients feeling chronic pains, strains and/or misalignments as you move. This class is formatted for the intermediate Pilates client to refresh and rejuvenate their Pilates work.

					MONDAY MORNINGS 10AM

Phillip will be continuing his teachings on how strength and flexibility come together for a quiet wholeness in the body. Join Phillip for his BASIC MAT class on Wednesday’s at 4:30. Don’t miss the chance to learn the technique of this “old Russian” technique for adding strength to the systems. Because of the extra equipment we will be limiting this class, so please register early.

no class on Wednesday October 17th.

GYROTONIC UPDATES!
Julie and Phillip will be traveling to Boulder, Colorado, October 16-19 to attend a continuing education workshop in the GYROTONIC® method. The focus of the workshop will be the shoulder girdle. We will be working with Paul Horvath who is a physio– therapist from Germany. This workshop will generate a need to share the information that is taught during our course of study. We will up date our studio clientele through a short workshop that will be offered in November. If you are suffering from the aches and pains of shoulder girdle imbalances you won’t want to miss the upcoming update workshop.

NOTES FROM THE FRONT DESK

PILATES albuquerque is once again teaming up with the Anderson School of Business to learn more about how to educate the community around us about Pilates and GYROTONIC®. We have a wonderful group of six students that have committed to working on an external marketing project that will culminate in an event with Wild Oats on Saturday October 27th. Watch for more information in the studio as we get closer to the date. This will be a great chance to introduce your friends and family to the methods that we teach in the studio and to help the UNM marketing students fulfill their requirements for their marketing class. We appreciate the interaction of students that UNM offers to us each semester. Thank you Dr. Roster!

The City of Albuquerque has donated bottled water from the San Juan Chama Water project to
PILATES albuquerque studio for our clients to use. We will have the water out and available for you to taste and try until our supply is depleted. Thank you to the City of Albuquerque for the tasting samples.
