Teacher Training at PILATES Albuquerque

PILATES albuquerque does not have a formal Pilates teacher training program but instead acts as the overseers of the preparatory/apprentice/observation requirements of highly esteemed training programs from around the country. We support the efforts of the instructors that are in study of the intricate body of Pilates work in any way we can.

PILATES albuquerque believes that the process of becoming a beginning/intermediate level instructor or practitioner of the Pilates and GYROTONIC® work is extensive and done over a period of time of at least one year. We believe that an excellent instructor or practitioner is trained by a MASTER of the work and has supervision of apprentice and observation hours by seasoned instructors of no less than 5 years. Our program prepares the student with the work on their own body, welcomes the student to observe the work and practice of seasoned studio instructors and allows scheduled time to teach side by side and complete student teaching requirements for certification. It is our desire to prepare and support instructors to be the best in the field.

In support of the training and continuing education of instructors, PILATES albuquerque schedules workshops and classes that help instructors to better understand the work of movement. PILATES albuquerque schedules movement professionals from all walks of movement education to teach the principles of efficient movement. We add to our scheduling workshops and classes that continue the training process to certification and beyond.

Below is our current listings of support classes for trainees, certified instructors and any student of the work that desires to further their knowledge of the study of movement.
